Dr. Aman Kirmani
Dr. Aman Kirmani completed his ophthalmology training at Royal Surrey Hospital, Guildford, with advanced subspecialty training in retinal diseases, uveitis, and inherited retinal diseases at Guy's and St Thomas' Hospitals and Southampton University Hospitals. He specializes in medical retinal conditions, including diabetic eye disease, age-related macular degeneration (AMD), and retinal vascular diseases. His clinical interests include innovative therapies and the use of artificial intelligence to improve the early detection and diagnosis of serious eye diseases. Dr. Kirmani leads the Medical Retina Service and Regional Centre at Royal Surrey Hospital. He is actively involved in teaching and training ophthalmology residents, oversees clinical audit in ophthalmology, and contributed to establishing a dedicated eye clinic at the Sind Institute of Urology and Transplantation (SIUT). He also leads a virtual teaching program for junior ophthalmology trainees across the UK and Pakistan.
